Book Exhibition 2019

In this era of mobile phones where there is a dire need to inculcate reading habits in our children ,in the premises of Khalsa College International Public school ,a two days Book Fair on 5 and 6 June 2019 was organised by Rajat Book Corner , to promote the various skills in our students .

The exhibition was a spectacle to watch. Books on wide range of topics were displayed which included from literature to history, management to science, current affairs to showbiz etc. The response was highly tremendous as many aspiring young readers including faculty were seen gorging on many critically acclaimed volumes. Every stall was very impressive but the most attractive among all was the children’s book stall. It was crowded with small children. They enjoyed purchasing pictorial and colourful books.
Due to such events, students get opportunity to go through the books which are highly influencing and based on day to day life, which benefits an individual to wider his/her knowledge.

The event was organized in order to bring outer exposure to the students, to sow the seed of interest and to enhance their knowledge. Hence the event turned out to be a grandeur success.

Chabeel Organised On 7 June 2019 KCIPS

On 7 June 2019 KCIPS organised “Chabeel”,a sweet drink for the parents and local public on 410th martyrdom of Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji. Vice Principal Mrs Rupinder Mahal commemorated the Chabeel. Students and teachers of the school actively participated in this noble task.

Cool and sweet drinks were served to the public and parents. Principal S Gurjit Singh ji gave message that one should accept God’s will as sweet even in the time of adversity. Parents appreciated the efforts of the school for inculcating religious values among students.

Environment Day 5 June 2019 At KCIPS

At KCIPS, a tree plantation drive was observed on 5th June on the occasion of Environment Day .The programme started by students from each class planting saplings in the campus. The event was a great success as each student contributed profoundly for this day. Students enacted the play on the theme ‘Save Water’ , recited poems and prepared posters on the topic ‘Save Environment’. In addition to this, on advice of Vice Principal Mrs Rupinder Mahal electricity was saved for 10 minutes by switching off all the electronics of the school. 

Principal S Gurjit Singh Ji Sethi guided students on the effects of global warming and the importance of trees in our lives. The programme was ended with an oath ceremony to save environment and the mother Earth.

Mother’s Day 16 May 2019 Celebrations

Mother, being a protector throughout her life loves her children unconditionally. She plays different role like a teacher, best friend and one’s who keeps beside us under all circumstances.Mother’s Day is widely celebrated as a special day to honor all mothers and motherhood. 

So, to salute the mothers of our children and to inculcate the values of love and reverence among their off springs, KCIPS Celebrated Mother’s Day on 16 May 2019 with great enthusiasm and zeal. Vice Principal, Mrs.Rupinder Mahal greeted the mothers warmly and shed light on the pivotal role of a mother who gives immeasurable care and love to her child.

To make the atmosphere more enjoyable and entertaining, our students performed on various activities such as dance,skits and songs fully dedicated to the motherhood. To add the icing on the cake, invited mothers participated in fun filled game of musical chairs and the winning mothers were rewarded with tokens of love. Mothers shared their humble gratitude towards the school and appreciated the efforts of the school authorities for organising such programmes. They felt proud to be an active part of KCIPS family.

To mark the ending of the function, Vice Principal Mrs.Rupinder Mahal expressed her views on the special role of a mother to build the life of her child most precious and worthwhile and concluded with the vote of thanks.

Excursion Trip to Fun Island 10 May 2019 Travelling is a part of education

Excursion Trip to Fun Island 10 May 2019 Travelling is a part of education .An excursion is not just pleasure trip, it enhances the knowledge of the students and develop various values beyond the four walls of the classroom. To provide such an enriching experience to students ,KCIPS organized a one day trip to “FUN ISLAND” at Talwandi Bhai, near Ferozepur on 10 May 2019.

The students were accompanied by the team of teachers. The excitement of the trip ensured that the trip began well in time. The students of all classes left the school campus in AC buses and reached the Fun Island in two hours. On the way students were served breakfast in the buses. On the arrival to the waterpark , everyone secured wristbands and this commenced the adventure that was much awaited for. The students were given refreshment when they entered the waterpark and then they were dispersed into groups.

They not only enjoyed themselves throughout the day under our teacher’s observation but also had several adventurous and thrilling rides. The beautifully designed waterpark was a treat to eyes in which the water rides were such a respite from the scorching heat of the May month. The students and even teachers refreshed themselves in the spalshes of water. Despite the heat the fun and excitement was palpable. After having the fun in the water, they also relished the lunch served to them.

At the time of dispersal from the Fun Island the students were served with ice-cream and on the way back to Amritsar the students were also served evening refreshment. On the whole the evening was wrapped up being fun, adventurous and a memorable day for all the students and teachers.

3 Workshop On Traffic Safety

To make students aware of the various traffic rules, a workshop was conducted on the theme “ safe drive, save life” at the school campus of Khalsa College International Public School, Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar for the students of 10,+1 and +2 on April 17, 2019 . Personnel from Amritsar Traffic Police were invited. S. Dilbag Singh ADCP Traffic and S. Paramjeet Singh Inspector Traffic Police have given valuable information and the students were briefed about various traffic rules that should be followed in order to maintain safety on roads. They were encouraged to follow the rules because even the small mistakes made on the road may lead to fatal accidents. The students were told how they can follow the rules while driving. Common mistakes made by people were also discussed among students.
They understood the consequences of over speeding, signal jumping, carelessness, not wearing seat belt or helmet, use of mobile phone and many other unlawful practices on the road.
It was an initiative made by Traffic Police, Amritsar to spread awareness regarding traffic rules and road safety among our students and instill a feeling ofresponsibility as a good citizen.

 

Principal S. Gurjit Singh Sethi appreciated the efforts of the Traffic Police and their valuable guidance to the students. He also encouraged the students on how they would help in future to ensure road safety for all.

550 years of Celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev Ji

Baisakhi Celebration 2019

Students of KCIPS celebrated “The Harvest Festival” Baisakhi on Friday 12 April 2019. 
The day started by seeking the blessings of Almighty through School Shabad.The significance of Baisakhi was highlighted through a beautiful speech. Students presented mesmerizing Punjabi folk dance performances and a mellifluous group dance. A play on the significance of Baisakhi was the highlight of the celebration. The entire school campus was immersed in the spirit of festivity as the little ones came dressed in ethnic attire representing the Punjabi culture. 
Then the Baisakhi Mela was inaugurated by worthy Vice Principal Mrs. Rupinder Mahal. The staff and students enjoyed stalls and games to make the day more gala and memorable. 
Speaking on the occasion Principal S Gurjit Singh Sethi congratulated and appreciated all the students giving such scintillating and vivacious performances

Annual Function 2019 Last Session

KCIPS celebrated it’s Annual Function on Saturday 23 March 2019. Mrs. Tejinder Kaur Ji Chhina presided over the function along with other dignitary members of Khalsa College Charitable Society and Principals of sister institutes.
The talented students presented mesmerizing cultural events such as dances, plays etc. S Gurjit Singh Sethi, the Principal read the annual report of the school making the audience aware of the school’s achievements in academics and co-curricular arenas. 
Prizes were given away to the toppers and other students who had brought laurels to the school in various competitions and contests. 
School Magazine “Petals” was released followed by “Inauguration of newly created Sports Complex”.

Matribhasha Diwas Celebration 21 Feb 2019

Matrabhasha Diwas was celebrated on 21 Feb 2019 in the school premises to promote the use of mother tongue. It was observed to highlight the linguistic diversity of our country. Various activities were organised like Elocution, Singing, Essay Writing Competitions, Music and dramatic performances that were performed by students with great zeal and enthusiasm.  Vice Principal Mrs Rupinder Mahal appreciated the efforts of students and inspired them to considerate highly their mother language as a revered means of communication
